In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Operate a Class A or B commercial vehicle to transport materials safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload materials using a forklift and by manually handling goods as needed
  • Inspect truck and equipment (tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and fluids) to ensure safe operation
  • Maintain accurate driver logs in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Prepare and process delivery documentation, including receipts and shipping paperwork
  • Verify shipment accuracy by checking items against bills of lading, invoices, and vendor paperwork
  • Coordinate with supervisors to receive delivery instructions and report status updates
  • Secure cargo to prevent damage during transport
  • Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area
  • When not driving, the position will require additional responsibilities including but not limited to: Housekeeping, packaging orders, internal material handling, and backfilling in Shipping and Receiving.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Strong basic math and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification (written, physical, and driving evaluation)
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

The CDL Truck Driver / Material Handler is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty classification truck to transport materials to and from designated locations. This role also includes loading and unloading materials, verifying shipments, and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
