- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow orders, profitability, and market share within assigned accounts and territory
- Manage a mix of key account development and new customer acquisition, balancing long-term relationship building with new opportunity generation
- Build strong relationships within complex customer organizations by identifying decision-makers, sponsors, and key stakeholders at all levels
- Maintain and advance a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring consistent tracking of opportunities and forecasting accuracy
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to proactively adapt strategies and uncover new business opportunities
- Negotiate commercial agreements in line with company guidelines, including pricing structures and contract terms
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
- Represent Emerson Natural Gas solutions with a strong focus on value-driven selling across gas distribution, transmission, and industrial segments

- Technical or engineering background, or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field
- Experience in sales within the energy, natural gas, or comparable industrial sectors
- Ability to understand and communicate technical solutions in a customer-focused way
- Proven experience managing both existing accounts and developing new business opportunities
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Willingness to travel regularly across Central and Northern Italy
- Experience managing complex key accounts with multi-level stakeholder engagement
- Strong knowledge of gas distribution, transmission, or alternative fuel markets
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic account development with new business “hunting”
- Experience working in a matrix organization with cross-functional collaboration
- High level of autonomy, similar to business development roles, with strong ownership of results

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The total compensation salary range for this role is 51.500 to 95.600 EUR annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.

Reporting directly to the Sales Team Leader Natural Gas Italy, the Outside Sales Engineer Natural Gas is responsible for all sales activities for designated customers in the Gas Distribution and Transmission sectors, as well as Industrial End Users of Natural Gas and Alternative Fuels (mainly located in Northern and Central Italy), in order to achieve agreed Sales, Booking, and strategic targets.
