Position Summary:
The Terminal Automation Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of terminal automation projects, ensuring alignment with defined scope, timelines, and budget. This role focuses on implementing and integrating automation systems across storage terminals, including tank farms, loading systems, and pipeline interfaces. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, IT, and external partners to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality automation solutions that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead end-to-end project execution from concept through commissioning and handover
  • Define project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans aligned with business objectives
  • Track progress against milestones and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, issues, and change requests
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of automation solutions, including control systems and terminal management platforms
  • Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with enterprise platforms and third-party applications
  • Act as the primary point of contact across cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and external partners
  • Conduct regular project reviews and provide transparent updates to stakeholders and leadership
  • Manage vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and quality expectations
  • Promote adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity practices
  • Lead system testing and commissioning activities, ensuring readiness for operational use
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and optimize processes

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or related field) or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial automation and project execution
  • Experience delivering projects in terminal, refinery, or similar industrial environments
  • Understanding of automation systems such as control systems, programmable controllers, and industrial communication protocols
  • Knowledge of tank farm operations, loading systems, and automation workflows
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
  • Experience with Terminal Management Systems and large-scale automation platforms
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices in industrial control systems
  • Exposure to enterprise system integration (e.g., ERP platforms)
  • Experience working with global teams or in matrixed organizational environments
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and digital transformation initiatives
