In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
    • Opportunity identification and creation: Identify, create, and develop new business opportunities for the assigned products or solutions.
    • Product and solution expertise: Act as a technical counterpart to customer experts and coordinate with Account Managers to ensure relationships are established with all required stakeholders. Lead technical discussions with customer experts and support the sales process through presentations and specialized content, providing in-depth knowledge of how our products can solve customer challenges.
    • Product demonstrations and validation: Conduct product demonstrations and manage customer tests and validations to showcase the value and effectiveness of our solutions, including product qualification activities.
    • Account development: Work closely with Account Managers to identify high–return actions for key accounts and relevant opportunities. Enable Account Managers to replicate product or solution sales after the initial supply.
    • Market analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain the competitiveness of our offerings.
    • Customer feedback: Collect and analyze customer feedback to support product development and improve our solutions and services.
    • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all activities, opportunities, and project progress in CRM systems or other company tools.
    • Bookings targets: Achieve bookings targets by developing and implementing product and sales support strategies aligned with Country and Business Unit strategies.
    • Sales enablement: Provide direction, training, and coaching to the sales force, supporting both technical and commercial aspects. Develop and deliver training programs on products, applications, competition, and market dynamics.
    • Business opportunity development: Identify new business opportunities (industries, applications, customers), translate them into action plans, and define success metrics.
    • Pricing strategy: Define and implement pricing strategies, including proposing appropriate Delegation of Authority (DoA) levels.
    • Compliance: Operate in full compliance with Emerson Trade Compliance, Quality procedures, and the Code of Ethics in all business activities.

For This Role, You Will Need:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the process automation industry, with at least 3 years in sales or marketing roles.
    • Strong knowledge and experience in process instrumentation and digital technologies.
    • Excellent command of English and native-level Italian (written and spoken).
    • Knowledge of additional European languages is considered a plus.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The total compensation salary range for this role is 53.500 to 99.300 EUR annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager Products & Solutions, the Flow Business Development Manager is responsible for defining and executing the marketing and business development plan for the Flow portfolio, which primarily includes products based on Mass, Magnetic, and Vortex measurement technologies. The Flow BDM is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for the assigned product or solution portfolio. In coordination with Account Managers, the BDM engages with experts and decision-makers within customer organizations, creating solutions to their challenges. The role involves presenting the value of our offering and managing the development of identified opportunities.
