Emerson is seeking a motivated and dependable 2nd Shift Cycle Count Team Leader to join our warehouse team in Houston, Texas. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and is passionate about supporting a small team while contributing to operational excellence.

Current working schedule 2:00 to 10:30pm Monday through Thursday. Fridays 1pm to 9:30pm. Schedules are subject to change per operational needs.

Overtime opportunities as needed.

In this position, you will coordinate the daily activities of a small hourly team while actively participating in warehouse operations. You will help ensure inventory accuracy and support receiving, put-away, order picking, cycle counting, and crating activities to meet customer and production requirements.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Coordinate the daily activities of the cycle count team, including assigning work, providing training, coaching, and support.
  • Lead inventory control efforts by performing cycle counts, audits, and ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, perform recounts when needed, and help implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor team performance and maintain high standards for productivity, accuracy, and quality.
  • Inspect inventory for proper storage and physical condition, reporting any issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate cycle count records, complete required documentation, and follow all warehouse safety policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Support operational needs through special projects, additional warehouse duties as assigned, and overtime when required.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of cycle counting and/or warehouse experience
  • ERP system experience
  • Forklift license and/or experience
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools and Outlook
  • Basic Excel skills (Bonus for VLOOKUP and Pivot Table experience)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 35 lbs. regularly
  • Work from floor level to 15 ft.
  • Work in a seated or standing position for long periods of time
