We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and advance our safety, environmental, and sustainability programs at our Elk River, MN facility. In this role, you will partner across all functions to foster a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, reduce environmental impact, and support continuous improvement initiatives. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Champion a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and employee well-being through visible leadership, coaching, and consistent application of EHS policies and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental, safety, industrial hygiene, and risk management programs.
  • Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, drive root cause analysis, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and site leadership to evaluate equipment, processes, materials, and facility changes while identifying opportunities to reduce risk and improve performance.
  • Support and lead sustainability initiatives aligned with Emerson's environmental and operational objectives.
  • Manage EHS training programs, regulatory reporting, audits, recordkeeping, and documentation requirements.
  • Serve as a key resource for the site safety committee, leading improvement initiatives and supporting execution of the site's safety roadmap.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Applied Science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Experience supporting regulatory inspections, compliance audits, and corrective action programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to support meetings, audits, and collaboration across Emerson locations.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience leading environmental, safety, or sustainability programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene monitoring, exposure assessment, and risk mitigation practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, drive positive behavioral change, and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance regulatory compliance with operational effectiveness while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CHMM, or similar credentials.

The salary range for this role is $63,000-90,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
