- Supplier relationship management and facilitation of communication across all collaborators
- Regularly submit to suppliers their performance metrics. Discuss and follow up with them on the action plan to improve their key performance indicators.
- Optimize supplier performance and lead times in line with customer requirements, implementing asset management strategies and facilitating supplier agreement with SPE and manufacturing sites to improve on time performance.
- Ensure to meet yearly KPI targets and data accuracy in Emerson tracking systems (project tracker tool, Cost impact report) which follows Emerson reporting rules.
- Work systematically and expertly in a well-documented manner in accordance with the company rules and procedures including adherence to trade compliance (export / import and supply chain security) regulations entirely.
- Optimize costs through effective use of tools and strategic sourcing processes while meeting engineering, quality, and product management specifications and requirements.
- Assist with developing a budget for annual spend and savings targets, performing cost analysis, supplier benchmarking, and selection of projects to decrease expenditures and improve supplier performance.
- Assist the Commodity Managers to generate and implement efficient sourcing and commodity management strategies in alignment with global business priorities. Report and present results to collaborators.
- Perform essential functions to setup suppliers in Oracle, ensure that all Suppliers being setup are accurately vetted and implemented in Oracle.
- Assist Commodity Managers across North America on special projects related to direct and indirect suppliers.
- You can develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the outstanding needs of different audiences and have good presentation skills. Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives is one of your key attributes. You are not afraid to tackle new opportunities and tough challenges with urgency, high energy and passion.
- BS or BA degree in Business or Supply Chain Management, Operations or related field.
- Ability to optimally apply interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships through cross-departmental collaboration.
- Experience developing and delivering compelling presentations on various topics, including project updates, product launches, market trends etc.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good knowledge of raw materials and various processes to convert raw material.
- Ability to use logical thinking and available resources to identify issues, solve problems and support effective decision-making.
- 2+ years purchasing, materials, product management, engineering, or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Oracle technologies is beneficial.
- Strong capabilities in both project management and leadership.
- Possess strong negotiating skills and ability to sustain networking relationships.
- Must have a passion for supply chain and meeting customer needs.
- Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data.
- Experience leveraging AI tools.
