The Commercial Operations Manager is the operational backbone of the Sales and Marketing Operations function. This role is responsible for governing and operationalizing the Measurement Solutions European sales channel: translating strategic direction into structured planning processes and ensuring the right governance standards, frameworks, and operational structures are consistently applied across countries. It owns the execution of key planning cycles - including budgeting, campaign creation, and territory allocation - and works closely with country sales leadership and the commercial team to ensure these are embedded and followed in practice.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Process Framework & Governance

  • Own, document, and maintain the high-level planning processes that structure how the commercial team operates, including the annual budgeting process, campaign creation process, and territory allocation process.

  • Map and formalize sales channel processes, ensuring clarity on process steps, decision rights, and accountability structures across the European organization.

  • Lead the implementation of processes across the Measurement Solutions European organization, identifying where global standardization applies and where local adaptation is needed.

  • Build and maintain a continuous improvement mechanism, gathering structured feedback from country teams and field operations to refine and evolve processes over time.

Collaboration with Countries & Commercial Teams

  • Act as the primary link between the Sales and Marketing Operations function and local country sales leadership, ensuring that process frameworks, governance standards, and planning outputs are clearly communicated and embedded at the country level.

  • Partner with the commercial team to co-develop campaign creation processes, ensuring that marketing, product management, and sales inputs are properly structured and sequenced within the campaign framework.

  • Coordinate territory allocation processes in collaboration with country sales leaders and the leadership team, ensuring territories are logically designed, consistently applied, and periodically reviewed.

  • Drive adoption of new processes and frameworks across countries, working through structured change management and direct engagement with local sales leadership.

  • Serve as the escalation point when process adherence issues arise at the country level, working with the relevant stakeholders to identify root causes and drive resolution.

Sales Technology & Data Infrastructure

  • Act as the European representative for the sales technology stack, defining the business requirements and use cases that global technology teams must address; ensure the technology infrastructure supports the channel’s planning and governance needs.

  • Lead change management for new technology and process rollouts across the European channel, ensuring adoption is structured, communicated clearly, and sustained over time.

  • Define data and reporting requirements in collaboration with Finance and Marketing, ensuring the right information is available to support planning cycles, governance processes, and operational decision-making.

  • Evaluate new digital tools and solutions from a strategic fit perspective, assessing whether they improve process efficiency or governance before recommending deployment to global teams.

Organizational Planning & Structure

  • Maintain an up-to-date view of channel capacity, territory coverage, and resource deployment to support ongoing planning decisions.

  • Provide operational reporting and insights to the Director of Sales and Marketing Operations to support strategic decision-making.

Who You Are:

You are a structured, systems-minded operator who makes complex sales organizations run with clarity and consistency. You are equally comfortable mapping a governance process and presenting it to country sales leaders in a room. You understand that good processes only work when the people who need to follow them genuinely understand and commit to them, so you invest as much in communication and change management as in documentation. You are pragmatic, organized, and skilled at translating strategic intent into operational reality.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Demonstrated experience governing and operationalizing sales or commercial processes in a large, matrixed B2B organization.

  • Direct sales experience, providing a first-hand understanding of how the field operates and what sellers and sales managers need to succeed.

  • Experience owning planning processes such as budgeting, territory design, or campaign planning in a multi-country environment.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with country leadership and commercial teams across cultures.

  • Experience in process mapping and change management, with the ability to translate strategic direction into structured, adopted operational processes across a multi-country organization.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple planning cycles and workstreams simultaneously.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to design and validate operational frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience in a sales operations, revenue operations, or commercial excellence function within an industrial, measurement, or automation environment.

  • Familiarity with European go-to-market models and experience working across multiple European countries.

  • Experience evaluating and deploying AI-enabled tools to support or automate commercial processes.

  • A strong demonstrated foundation in business (e.g., MBA or equivalent education or experience) is preferred.
