Responsible for executing and overseeing complex accounting activities related to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information. This role involves ownership of critical R2R processes, resolving complex accounting issues, and acting as a key operational point of contact for assigned entities or business units. The Senior Specialist provides deep technical expertise, ensures adherence to USGAAP and internal policies, and actively drives process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and post complex and high-impact Journal Entries.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly accruals and Balance Sheet Reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Perform detailed account analysis and explain variances to stakeholders and business partners.
- Ensure compliance with SLA targets while proactively identifying risks and proposing mitigation actions.
- Act as a key point of contact for assigned entities, providing guidance on accounting treatment and issue resolution.
- Support knowledge transfer processes and contribute to building process documentation and standardization.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement and automation opportunities across R2R processes.
- Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring readiness and timely resolution of requests.
- Participate in financial closing and reporting activities, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.
- Develop analyses and insights to support business and finance stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in general accounting, preferably including multinational or Big 4 environments.
- Strong experience in Shared Services or global operations environments.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting processes, financial reporting, and USGAAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, automation tools, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives across accounting processes.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex accounting scenarios independently.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders across functions and geographies.
- Advanced English proficiency (B2 level).
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification (preferred).
- Experience with financial consolidation and reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion).
- Advanced knowledge of accruals, provisions, and complex accounting topics.
- Experience and advanced knowledge of Inventory or Cost Accounting.
- Certifications in Continuous Improvement or Project Management is preferred (Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, etc.).
- Experience supporting automation or digital transformation initiatives (e.g., RPA, data analytics tools).
