We are looking for a Field Sales Manager to lead our growing Oil & Gas and Terminal team.

This role is essential for the development of the Measurement Solutions Instrumentation sales strategy within a defined industry in all Nordic Countries.
By staffing the right sales talent, managing performance via data-driven methods, and coaching the team to execute Value Creation Actions, the Field Sales Manager is responsible for achieving or exceeding territory bookings and ensuring that strategic imperatives become tangible commercial results.

The position will be based in our Porsgrunn or Stavanger office.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Talent & Team Development: Recruit and develop the sales team, implement skills-building programs and succession plans.
  • Nurture a high-performance culture emphasizing continuous learning.
  • Performance Management: Set clear KPIs for each salesperson, track leading and lagging metrics to ensure achievement of bookings goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and course correct as needed.
  • Account Allocation & Coverage: Apply account allocation, maintain an effective account load for each salesperson.
  • Sales Campaign Execution: Deploy sales campaigns, ensuring each seller knows their targets and actions, offer support for the sales team.
  • Review campaign progress via revenue intelligence dashboards, adjusting tactics as required.
  • Coaching & Enablement: Provide hands-on coaching on discovery calls, solution presentations, and negotiation, ensure the team leverages best practices.
  • Collaboration & Data-Driven Feedback: Provide market insights (competitive trends, successes, challenges) to refine strategic direction.
  • Collaboration with and active contributor in the Nordic Sales Leadership team

You are a data-driven sales professional with a proven ability to manage opportunities, optimize pipeline performance, and deliver sustainable growth. An effective leader, you motivate and develop teams to achieve ambitious goals while using insights and analytics to make informed business decisions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, combining strategic thinking, customer focus, and strong execution to drive results.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Technical degree, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and leadership roles
  • Previous people leadership experience
  • Proficiency in English and Scandinavian languages
  • Willingness to travel in the country and regionally (Driver’s license)

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Exposure to oil and gas industry environment, with a good technical understanding of measurement products
  • Matrix organization experience
