Environmental Health and Safety Engineer

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs and procedures that support a safe and compliant work environment.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and job safety evaluations to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
- Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Perform safety inspections, audits, and facility assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Support contractor safety management programs and high-risk work activities, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, and Electrical Safety programs.
- Promote employee participation in hazard identification, near-miss reporting, and behavior-based safety initiatives.
- Coordinate occupational health programs, including industrial hygiene monitoring, ergonomic assessments, and workplace health initiatives.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs, awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and safety meetings for employees and contractors.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including emergency response planning, drills, training, and equipment readiness.
- Monitor, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen safety culture and support business objectives through effective EHS management systems.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Experience supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety programs in manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments.
- Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.
- Familiarity with industrial hygiene, ergonomics, contractor safety management, emergency response planning, and behavior-based safety programs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools. Experience with EHS management systems is beneficial.
- Intermediate English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational safety, environmental sciences, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience working within multinational manufacturing organizations.
- Experience supporting the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Experience contributing to safety culture improvement and employee engagement initiatives.
- Knowledge of Power BI, EHS reporting systems, and performance dashboards.
- Relevant certifications such as ISO 14001 Internal Auditor, ISO 45001 Internal Auditor, or Ergonomics-related certifications.
