As the EH&S Specialist you will work closely with the department manager in the development and implementation of the Environmental Health & Safety programs ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures. Provide safety training and education. Report and participate in plant incidents, employee injuries, and conduct safety inspections and audits. Develop and initiate employee engagement activities.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Implement, execute, and ensure compliance with Company's Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures. Ensure all required company and regulatory reporting requirements are submitted on time.
  • Responsible for assisting management personnel in the investigations of plant incidents and complaints regarding unsafe working conditions and practices. Help identify an immediate solution, the root cause, and track corrective actions to completion.
  • Implement continuous improvement plans to ensure success on Corporate Safety, Health and Environmental audits or assessments. Interface with regulatory bodies (OSHA, EPA, State/Local Regulators).
  • Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Lead/manage environmental program with help from an environmental consultant and represent management during EHS Meetings along with the other plant personnel.
  • Responsible for ensuring plant atmosphere and hygiene compliance. Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that impact the organization.
  • Train employees on required EHS topics in accordance with regulatory bodies

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience in a safety role
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems
  • Only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR §120) may be considered
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field
  • Experience working under the ISO-14001, 45001 standard
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
