Emerson is seeking a dynamic Financial Analyst to join our Global HQ Finance department within the Isolation Valves business unit. Located in our Houston, TX office, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our organization. As a Finance Analyst, you will collaborate closely with World Areas and Isolation Valves' leadership team, facilitating communication and ensuring robust reporting practices. Your responsibilities will span from monthly financial statement reporting, quarterly POR submission, and annual forecast creation to board meetings, strategic reviews, and financial analysis. You will also work on consolidating supplemental reports required and drive automation initiatives to enhance our financial reporting procedures. Your analytical prowess, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills will be crucial as you provide decision support to senior leadership through ad-hoc analysis of key financial metrics.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Be a key member for the Global HQ Finance department of Isolation Valves business unit, a large enterprise within Emerson Company.
- Consolidate and own weekly KPI reporting to suit existing and evolving business needs
- Runs systemic reports for all possible business purposes from PowerBI, Oracle & Oracle EPM, HFM, or any other business-relevant system
- Create, analyze, and review ad-hoc management inquiries of key financial metrics for decision support for senior leadership as requested
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual updates to the Isolation Valves Financial Planning Cycle which consist of monthly financial reporting, quarterly POR submission, annual forecast creation, board meetings, strategics reviews, profit and financial reviews among others.
- Consolidate world areas quarterly and annual supplemental required reporting
- Drive and implement automation opportunities in our regular procedures
- Collaborate with other functional areas within the organization during preparation of financial information.
- Employees in this salaried exempt role may occasionally be required to work additional hours beyond their regular schedule to fulfill business needs and meet critical deadline

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar required
- A minimum of 0-1 years of work experience in Accounting/Finance related role
- Strong data-processing experience with Microsoft Office (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, charts, macros, etc.)
- Exposure to ERP systems preferred, but not required (familiarity with Oracle/SAP a plus)
- Knowledge of PowerBI or similar enterprise reporting tools preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrate persistence, perseverance, and flexibility
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Exposure to ERP systems preferred, but not required (familiarity with Oracle/SAP a plus)
- HFM knowledge is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar enterprise reporting tools to build interactive, scalable dashboards
