In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Lead daily production activities across assembly, lapping, testing, and related manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives are achieved.
  • Lead, coach, and support production leaders and manufacturing employees, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Production Control, and Maintenance teams to establish priorities and ensure effective execution of production plans.
  • Coordinate mechanical assembly and testing activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and operational requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence, waste reduction, quality enhancement, and process efficiency.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve productivity, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Support new product introduction and production ramp-up activities through close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Evaluate manufacturing methods, process capability, equipment utilization, and resource allocation to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure alignment and successful execution of business objectives.
  • Support operational planning and resource management activities while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance.
  • Develop and implement long-term improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction, operational capability, and team effectiveness.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Experience leading manufacturing, production, or operations activities within an industrial environment.
  • Experience managing and developing teams while creating an inclusive, high-performing work environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, assembly operations, testing activities, and production workflows.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple functions, including engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of production planning, quality systems, process controls, and operational performance management.
  • Effective communication skills in English and Italian.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, collaborative, and continuous improvement-focused workplace.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience within project-based, engineered-to-order, or manufacture-to-order production environments.
  • Experience with valves, flow control products, industrial equipment, or other complex mechanical products.
  • Knowledge of assembly, testing, machining, fabrication, or metal-processing manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction, production scale-up, or operational growth initiatives.
  • Training or practical experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exposure to industries such as oil and gas, energy, process automation, pharmaceutical, or related industrial sectors.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is from 38.000 to 57.200 EUR annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role. This role is covered by the Industria Metalmeccanica Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which defines the applicable compensation structure and progression (CCNL Metalmeccanici — Assolombarda).
