In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Enterprise Data Hygiene, Quality & Compliance
  • Drive data compliance, quality, and integrity across the Emerson enterprise Salesforce ecosystem, including Salesforce core clouds and Salesforce Data Cloud
  • Define, document, and enforce data privacy, retention, masking, handling, security, and regulatory compliance standards for Salesforce data
  • Establish enterprise data quality rules, deduplication logic, enrichment standards, exception handling, and issue remediation processes
  • Develop data health metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting that show quality trends, priority issues, ownership, and remediation progress
  • Coordinate with Security, Legal, Compliance, and Architecture teams to ensure Salesforce data practices align with Emerson enterprise policies and regulatory expectations
Salesforce Data Cloud Governance & Operations
  • Manage Data Cloud governance practices related to data streams, identity resolution, profile unification, segmentation readiness, calculated insights, and data activation controls
  • Partner with Integration, MDM, ERP, and enterprise data teams to align Salesforce data flows, transformations, source-of-truth definitions, and synchronization expectations
  • Define Data Cloud operating standards for data ingestion, mapping, consent/privacy considerations, identity rules, retention, data access, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with AI Agentforce leadership to ensure AI use cases are grounded in accurate, permission-aware, compliant, and fit-for-purpose data
Data Stewardship Enablement & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with Salesforce Data Stewards to define ownership, data standards, naming conventions, field governance, quality thresholds, and stewardship operating rhythms
  • Support data migration, cleansing, enrichment, and validation activities across implementation waves and continuous improvement cycles
  • Evaluate data quality tooling, MDM capabilities, and Salesforce data capabilities for fit against Emerson enterprise needs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce duplicates, improve master data alignment, clarify reporting definitions, and increase confidence in Salesforce data

For This Role, You Will Need:

Technical Skills:

  • Salesforce Data Cloud, including data streams, identity resolution, profile unification, segmentation, calculated insights, and activation governance
  • Data governance frameworks, master data management, stewardship operating models, data quality monitoring, and data issue remediation
  • Data privacy, regulatory compliance, data masking, retention, consent, access controls, and audit readiness
  • SQL, data profiling, transformation logic, data lineage concepts, and quality rule design
  • Enterprise data architecture patterns, source-of-truth management, Salesforce-to-ERP synchronization, and integration-aware data controls

Interpersonal and Leadership Skills:

  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail paired with the ability to focus teams on the highest-value data improvements
  • Cross-functional collaboration across business process owners, data owners, integration teams, architecture, security, compliance, and delivery partners
  • Policy development and enforcement with pragmatic flexibility for implementation realities
  • Clear communication with both technical and business audiences on data standards, risks, root causes, and remediation progress
  • Process improvement mindset and persistence in driving sustained data quality outcomes after implementation

Required Certifications:

  • Salesforce Data Cloud certification required
  • Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce AI Associate, data governance, MDM, privacy, or analytics certifications valued

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

  • Manufacturing or industrial data management experience
  • Experience with Salesforce-to-ERP data synchronization and master data alignment
  • Master Data Management tooling or enterprise data catalog experience
  • Data modeling for multi-org Salesforce environments
  • Experience supporting large-scale Salesforce data migration, cleansing, enrichment, or consolidation programs

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Bachelor's degree required in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in data management, data governance, data quality, MDM, analytics, or enterprise application data leadership
  • Experience defining and operating data governance, data quality, data privacy, retention, and compliance practices in enterprise systems
  • Practical working knowledge of Salesforce data structures, Salesforce Data Cloud concepts, integration patterns, and data quality management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data quality problems into measurable remediation plans and operating controls
  • Approximately 10-20% travel (global)

The Salesforce Data Cloud Hygiene Lead is a senior data governance and data quality leadership role responsible for driving data compliance, integrity, privacy, retention, masking, security, and quality across Emerson's enterprise Salesforce ecosystem. This role establishes the standards and operating practices that allow Emerson to trust Salesforce data for commercial execution, reporting, integration, AI readiness, and cross-Business Group alignment. This role defines data hygiene strategies for Salesforce and Salesforce Data Cloud, including data streams, identity resolution, segmentation readiness, quality rules, deduplication logic, retention policies, and monitoring metrics.
