Group Description: Evercore’s Real Estate Strategic Advisory (“RESA”) group provides comprehensive advisory and capital raising solutions to private and public real estate-focused companies, sponsors, and investors globally. The group provides a full suite of asset-level to boardroom capabilities and offers a full range of investment banking services across asset and transaction types. In addition, the team is a leader in private M&A, recapitalizations, and capital raising for real estate sponsors. Our client base covers a broad spectrum of real estate market participants, including REITs, financial sponsors, asset managers, real estate developers, and others. Our full suite of investment banking services includes, but is not limited to, M&A advisory, private capital advisory (recapitalizations, continuation vehicles, joint ventures), capital raising, activism defense, and restructuring.
What is the position? The group is looking to hire a lateral Analyst (first or second year) based in New York
Primary Responsibilities: Analysts work on a variety of assignments including acquisition advisory, restructurings, recapitalizations, divestitures, fundraising, partnerships and joint ventures. As part of the team assigned to these projects, individuals will be responsible for a variety of tasks including preparing for client meetings, financial modeling, industry analysis, due diligence, and business development. Analysts typically work as part of small teams and have close contact with senior client contacts as well as partners within the firm.
Specific Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience at a real estate firm including, but not limited to: real estate private equity, investment banking, institutional brokerage, placement agent or development companies. Strong preference for first or second year Analysts (class of 2025 or 2024)
- Solid grasp of real estate fundamentals and valuation
- Extensive experience with Excel and building financial models
- Ability to think critically about a range of strategic issues impacting our clients
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and achievement-oriented character with a great work ethic
Expected Base Salary Range: $120,000-$130,000
