Group Description: The Conflicts Advisory team serves as the firm’s first point of contact for evaluating potential new business opportunities and addressing conflicts-related questions on active transactions. The team is responsible for clearing all new mandates by identifying, assessing, and managing potential conflicts of interest. In addition, Conflicts Advisory plays a key role in guiding business selection and evaluating reputational risk to ensure the firm pursues the most attractive opportunities while mitigating potential exposure.

Primary Responsibilities: This role offers broad exposure across the conflicts clearance process, with responsibilities ranging from monitoring M&A activity to supporting senior team members on complex, high-profile transactions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting initial conflicts checks and gathering relevant information for new business opportunities
  • Monitoring active mandates and identifying issues that arise post-clearance
  • Managing deal team inquiries and setting expectations around conflicts outcomes and timing
  • Maintaining accurate records by documenting conflicts checks, status updates, and key deal information within internal systems

Specific Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, a keen interest in financial markets, and the ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Candidates typically have 1–2 years of transaction-related experience in a business, legal, or compliance role and demonstrate:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage time-sensitive work, and think proactively to identify potential issues
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information
  • Comfort navigating internal systems and databases efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred

Expected Base Salary Range: $115,000 - 130,000
