Job description
The Evercore Off-Cycle Intern Program in Paris is a 6-month programme designed to provide a talented and committed individual with hands-on experience as an analyst within the Telecoms team (Communications & Digital Infrastructure). The team is seeking an ambitious, mature individual with the desire and flexibility to work in an entrepreneurial environment and the ability to learn on the job.
Primary Responsibilities
Evercore Off-Cycle Interns are highly motivated individuals and must demonstrate the ability and desire to learn and work hard. They will form an integral part of a deal team, and be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
- Conduct industry and company-specific research
- Contribute to the drafting of pitch materials, client presentations, and internal briefing notes
- Analyse company financials, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements
- Assist in preparing and reviewing financial models to support valuations and transaction analysis
- Track industry-specific news and market moves in the Telecom space
Off-Cycle Interns typically work in cross-border teams across Paris and London, collaborating with colleagues of all seniority levels and interacting with Evercore’s global offices, and will need to demonstrate:
- A genuine interest in corporate finance and the broader investment banking landscape
- An interest in the telecom market and adjacent industries
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High motivation to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility in a demanding environment
- Self-starter mindset, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and adaptability
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple workstreams under tight deadlines
Specific Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering from a top-tier institution, with excellent academic results
- Must be able to secure an internship agreement (“convention de stage”) through a university or academic institution (third-party agreements are not accepted)
- Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate M&A, or another relevant finance-related role
- Fluency in French and English is required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and strong technical fundamentals
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, or other financial data providers is a plus
