What is the Position? We are seeking an Analyst to join the Investor Relations team in a high-impact, fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who is a strategic and critical thinker. The individual must have strong judgement and communication skills (both verbally and in writing) and is client-oriented and comfortable engaging directly with the CEO, CFO, investors, and sell-side analysts.
The individual will combine data-driven analysis, strong communication skills, and direct engagement with senior management to support the Investor Relations team in managing the Firm’s relationships with external stakeholders and shaping how the Firm’s growth narrative is communicated to investors and sell-side analysts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare Evercore’s quarterly earnings preparation materials, including gathering and analyzing data, designing presentations, drafting Q&A, and responding to any other ad-hoc requests for the CEO and CFO
- Track and analyze competitor earnings results, disclosures, and public commentary, including how peer management teams discuss strategy, guidance, and key operating metrics on earnings calls and at investor conferences
- Maintain and update market share, sell-side estimate consensus, peer benchmarking, and other key performance and valuation metrics on an ongoing basis
- Monitor sell-side analyst research, models, and notes; summarize key themes, estimate changes, and rating/price target actions for senior management
- Coordinate logistics and materials for investor meetings, conferences, non-deal roadshows, and other engagements, ensuring the CEO and CFO are fully prepared
- Build and maintain organized, clearly formatted Excel files and PowerPoint materials, for board- and executive-level presentations
- Partner with the SEC reporting/legal team on public disclosures to ensure consistency between IR materials and filed documents
- Serve as a point of contact for investors and sell-side analysts, responding to inquiries in a professional, timely, and client-oriented manner
- Help maintain the investor relations CRM/contact database, tracking investor interactions, ownership changes, and targeting for management outreach
- Conduct in-depth research and quantitative analysis to support strategic initiatives and executive decision-making
Specific Qualifications: We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual who is intellectually curious, professional, and poised in engaging with senior management (including the CEO and CFO), client-oriented in dealing with investors and sell-side analysts, and comfortable taking ownership in a dynamic environment.
Core Requirements:
- Ideally 1+ years of relevant analytical experience (investor relations, investment banking, equity research, capital markets, consulting, or financial services firms)
- Strong academic performance (Business, Economics, Finance, or related fields preferred)
- Extremely strong judgment as dealing with material non-public information on a daily basis
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce clear, organized, and polished analytical and presentation materials
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear, concise messaging
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines (e.g., quarterly earnings deliverables)
- Professional presence with demonstrated ability to interact directly and confidently with the CEO, CFO, and other senior executives
- Client-service oriented, with the discretion and professionalism required to represent the Firm in interactions with investors and sell-side analysts
- Working knowledge of financial statements, capital markets, and public company reporting requirements; familiarity with consensus estimates and sell-side research a plus
Expected Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
