Job Description
Oracle Financials – Functional- Manager

Role:

  • Responsible for executing client engagements in the areas of Finance, risk & compliance, Reporting and ERP/IT support.
  • Determine that the work delivered is of high quality.
  • Anticipate and identify engagement related risks and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Actively establish client (process owner/functional heads) and internal relationships.
  • Assist Seniors & Managers in developing new methodologies and internal initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Execution on client engagement – Ensure quality delivery as per client requirements.
  • Review of working papers and client folders. Suggest ideas on improving engagement productivity and identify opportunities for improving client service.
  • Understand business & industry issues / trends. Identify areas requiring improvement in the client's business processes to enable preparation of recommendations.
  • Demonstrate an application & solution-based approach to problem solving technique.
  • Manage the engagement budgets and support superiors in developing marketing collaterals, business proposals and new solution / methodology development.
  • Experience in Project planning and estimation and Support Program and Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Develop strong working relationships with client (process owner/functional heads)
  • Attention to detail and mentor juniors and analysts within the practice.
  • Contribute to knowledge management sessions within the practice.
  • Able to interpret functional requirements from onsite and able to deliver/design from offshore
  • Design module specific solution in the context of the integrated Finance and Supply Chain applications
  • Requirements gathering and documentation using prescribed methodologies
  • Map client requirements and maintenance to existing Oracle finance modules like AP, AR, GL, FA, CM and SLA
  • Capable of handling Solution Design /Functional Fit-Gap /Training/Testing sessions
  • Assist business user during CRPs/SITs/UATs and should Prepare test scripts and test cases & conduct trainings
  • Take ownership of initiatives and lead them to success


Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience working in Oracle ERP Finance modules (AP, AR, GL,FA,CM & SLA) preferably in Fusion
  • Should have worked in at least 3 full life cycle implementations (On Prem/Cloud)
  • Clear understanding of the functional flow in finance modules and its integrations.
  • Exposure in Property Manager, Projects, iExpenses and Financial/ Fusion Accounting Hub would be an added advantage
  • Understanding / Experience in SCM Modules (Inventory, Purchasing and Order Management)
  • Well versed with accounting principles
  • Onsite client facing experience (Preferred to have Middle east exposure)

  • Must have knowledge of documenting using any methodology

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to follow well defined release management processes
  • Ability to multitask and still stay focused on release priorities
  • Must have valid passport
  • Client site work / Business Traveling involved

Education:

  • CA/CMA/MBA.
