We’re looking for Managers with expertise in Cloud transformation assignments including Strategy and Business case development, maturity assessments and discovery and assessment exercises for migration to cloud to join the leadership group of our EY-Advisory-DET Team. The Digital & Emerging Technologies (DET) practice works with clients to analyse, formulate, design, mobilize and drive digital transformation initiatives. We advise clients on their most pressing digital challenges and opportunities surround business strategy, customer, growth, profit optimization, innovation, technology strategy, and digital transformation. We also have a unique ability to help our clients translate strategy into actionable technical design, and transformation planning/mobilization. Through our unique combination of competencies and solutions, EY’s DET Team helps our clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations.

Your key responsibilities

  • Collaborating with client-facing teams and management to develop estimates, Point of Views (POVs), Position Papers, and contribute to pursuits, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Architecting and designing solutions to fulfil both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Creating and reviewing architecture and solution design artifacts.
  • Promoting re-use by implementing shared assets across projects.
  • Conducting assessments of the current state for on-premises environments and providing methodologies for cloud transformation, as well as defining application taxonomy.
  • Leading the design, implementation, support, and monitoring of on-premises Data Center (DC) infrastructure and applications post-migration to the Cloud.
  • Guiding product and project architecture design in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Participating in employee recruitment, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and ensuring staff competency development.
  • Identifying and facilitating resolution of issues and risks, as well as managing escalations.
  • Facilitating the handover to clients and overseeing support and handover activities.
  • Promoting teamwork and serving as a role model for team members.
  • Contributing to organization-wide people initiatives.
  • Demonstrating excellent written and oral communication skills, including proficiency in writing, publishing, and delivering conference-level presentations.
  • Participating in oral presentations and contributing to winning proposals.
  • Being willing to travel up to 25% as required.

  • Cloud Strategy and Business case building
    • Excellent knowledge of different cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc.

  • Maturity assessments on cloud
    • Good understanding of cloud computing and various cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
    • Expertise in assessment of organization's Cloud Maturity Level
    • Knowledge of different maturity models and frameworks like CMMI, COBIT etc.
    • Proficient in assessing the end-to-end cloud adoption roadmap
    • Ability to evaluate the organization's current and future state and develop a cloud maturity roadmap
    • Experience conducting Gap Analysis between current state and desired state
    • Skills in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
    • Demonstrated ability in identifying process improvement opportunities
    • Expertise in creating and implementing cloud standards, policies and best practices
    • High-level understanding of project management principles and methodologies
    • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills to influence the management and stakeholders
    • Proficient in using cloud assessment tools for gathering metrics and insights.
    • Ability to provide recommendations and action plans for improving cloud maturity.
    • Experience in cloud security and compliance requirements.
  • Discovery and assessment
    • Proficient in assessment of applications and data for cloud migration
    • Ability to perform detailed discovery of the current IT landscape
    • Experience with workload analysis and migration planning
    • Advanced skills in migrating applications and data to cloud platforms
    • Experience with Automated and manual Discovery tools
    • Expertise in cloud architecture and designing of migration path
    • Ability to perform technical feasibility studies for migration
    • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
    • Deep understanding of change management in data migration processes
    • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Process charts and Workflow building
    • Proficiency in business process modeling techniques and tools.
    • Skillful in creating and mapping business processes in BPMN, UML, or other standard notations.
    • Ability to design, analyze, and optimize business or technical processes.
    • Expertise in creating clear, comprehensive, and concise workflow or process diagrams.
    • Proficiency in using software such as Visio, Lucidchart, draw.io or other diagram software to create process charts.
    • Analytical skills to evaluate process performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Excellent communication skills to convey the process information correctly to the relevant parties.
    • Detail-oriented with an ability to understand and interpret complex processes.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science
  • A hands-on technical and people leader with 8-12 yrs in building a running a high performing team.
  • 8+ years building highly scalable, high-performance applications with focus on open source tech stack.
  • 4+ years’ experience working around Proposals on digital transformation assignments.
  • Experience in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Experience in Agile Scrum Methodology and DevOps
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment.
  • Have expertise in designing and delivery of large-scale mission critical distributed applications.
  • Have experience in developing strategies, plan, design, development, testing, deployment and production support of projects and products.

Ideally, you’ll also have
Solution architect Certification in AWS Cloud, Azure or in GCP

Technologies and Tools

  • Cloud Services: Skilled in diverse cloud services offered by major platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with basic understanding of services by other providers like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Alibaba, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
  • AI Tools & Services: Deep understanding of General AI tools and services provided by the above-mentioned Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).
  • Virtualization Tools: Working knowledge of virtualization tools to create multiple virtual environments from a single physical hardware system.
  • DevOps Tools: Good grasp of DevOps tools and services available from cloud platforms and open source, promoting better communication between the development and operations team and speeding up the process of development.
  • Database Tools: Proficient in navigating various database tools, understanding their applications and limitations in different scenarios.
  • Proposal and PPT Skills: Proficient in formulating cloud-related proposals and creating impactful PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate the project plan, approach, and benefits.
  • Workflow / Process chart building skills: Tools like Visio, draw.io
  • Communication & Storytelling Skills: Possessing strong communication abilities to articulate complex ideas clearly, create compelling narratives to present proposals, and convince stakeholders with effective storytelling skills.
  • Certifications: Holding valid certifications from at least one major platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, verifying their technical cloud computing knowledge and skills.
