As a Manager in our team, you will help our clients build trust and transparency in technology whilst simultaneously gaining skills to develop a career in a fast-growing professional services organisation. Working with some of the world’s most prestigious organisations you will be an integral part of our Technology Assurance team within EY UK’s Assurance practice.
The opportunity
As a Manager you will have the opportunity to work on a range of IT Assurance projects, including IT external audit support, IT components of regulatory reviews and other assurance activities including Service Organisation Controls Reporting (SOCR) and assessing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system projects, cyber, cloud and emerging technology risks including AI and data. This role involves working across our business, alongside our wider Assurance and Consulting colleagues, and with our clients to help protect their reputation by mitigating their business, financial reporting and IT risks.

Your key responsibilities
An important part of your role as a Manager is to establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You’ll help create a positive and diverse learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members to help them develop. In line with our commitment to quality, you'll also have a key role in ensuring exceptional client service, quality and delivery. At the same time as maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high quality outcomes, you will need to deliver engagements to agreed time and cost budgets. To qualify for the role you must have
- Demonstrable professional experience in managing and delivering complex and multi-territory external IT or internal audits
- Good technical understanding of SOX, J-SOX, and IT audit methodologies
- Hands-on experience in managing and delivering IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT automated business controls audits
- Experience of SOCR (SOC1, SOC2, SOC3, ISAE3402) and cyber risk
- Experience in providing assurance over regulatory remediation programmes
- Experience in managing and delivering client engagements including scoping, managing delivery risk, execution, quality and review of deliverables
- A track record in leading and delivering a portfolio of client engagements to time, cost and high quality standards
- A hands-on approach to building and maintaining excellent relationships across a range of clients in various industries and other senior stakeholder management
- Thorough understanding of the UK and US financial reporting regulatory environments
Ideally, you’ll also have some of the following
- The ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and manage cross-functional projects
- The ability to manage multiple stakeholder communities with varying levels of experience
- An eagerness and track record in establishing and leading high-performance teams and supporting and coaching individual team members
- Relevant industry certification such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2 or other specialised IT certifications
- Experience in ERP technologies (e.g. SAP and Oracle), data analytics and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting technology
- An understanding of audit analytics
- A passion for providing organisations the trust and confidence that will enable them to adopt emerging technologies, manage IT risks and accelerate performance
