Position Summary

Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provide advisory services including Accounting and Regulatory support for accounting change and special matters, accounting processes and controls support.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Transformation professional focussed on Enterprise Performance Management to join EY FAAS team to help drive growth and manage delivery teams, bring subject matter expertise around the EPM solution.

The Senior Manager should be competent to manage a portfolio of clients and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per EY Global Standards. While the Senior Manager will be based out of our Gurugram or Bengaluru or Mumbai offices, the individual will be responsible for supporting EY practices and clients across the Global Market. Also, the individual may be required to travel to other countries (short-term) for executing the client engagements.

Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Manager will manage teams of FAAS professionals during engagements covering a broad spectrum of EPM areas. The individual will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Bring Thought Leadership and Innovation into building an optimal Service Delivery Model to execute FP&A / Consolidation & Reporting optimization projects
• Demonstrate experience in overseeing large-scale, multi-year transformation initiatives involving operating model redesign, process optimization, and technology-enabled transformations
• Take ownership of engagement planning, budgeting, execution, and effective management of projects to achieve successful outcomes
• Oversee engagement scoping and planning of discovery workshops with the client to assess current state and perform comprehensive needs analysis
• Oversee and actively engage during Process Analysis and Solutioning stages of the project to ensure optimal solution design and delivery. Advising clients on enhancing their Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Financial Close, Consolidation & Reporting, and Disclosure Management processes using different EPM tools
• Assist in end-to-end project management, including project planning, resource allocation, governance and monitoring overall project progress
• Own project success metrics such as VOC scores, schedule adherence, contract adherence, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements, contribute to solution design, and provide expert insights during Solution Workshops
• Provide support in responding to Requests for Quotation (RFQs), preparing proposals, and participating in client discussions
• Act as a Functional Expert for EPM Solution, addressing any functional issues or enhancements required, and build deep EPM competency within the Practice
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulations, and advancements and sharing knowledge and insights with the team
• Own Business Development goals for the EPM Solution within the Practice

Qualifications, skills and experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), ACCA (UK) or MBA with 15+ years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and/or Consolidation & Reporting processes, methodologies, and best practices
• Proven experience in leading and managing large scale transformation initiatives, including driver-based forecasting, process automation, and strategic operating model design
• Expertise in Budgeting and forecasting, Financial modelling and scenario analysis, Variance analysis, Performance management, Consolidation & Reporting,
• Proficiency in one or more of the leading FP&A / Consolidation and Reporting tools (e.g., CCH Tagetik, Lucanet, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Oracle Hyperion, IBM Planning Analytics), including an understanding of their features, capabilities, and limitations
• Familiarity with Data Management & Integration processes and tools such as Data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, Data governance and data quality management, Integration with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Familiarity with BI & Analytics processes & tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), Data visualization and dashboarding, Advanced analytics and data science concepts
• Experience in managing a Portfolio of projects, including setting up project governance, project risk & issue management, resource management, client communication
• Proven experience in setting up Practices and Competencies and opening up newer revenue streams
• Strong executive presence and ability to interface with all levels of management (EY and clients)
