The opportunity
As a Senior Functional Consultant, you will be a professional member of our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team. As part of our vision to being recognized as the pre-eminent CFO advisory practice serving the mid-market, our FAAS Finance Optimization team delivers value to our clients through 6 main pillars: Finance Vision & Strategy, Finance Operating Model Transformation, Finance Process Optimization, Finance Performance Management & Analytics, Finance Integration & Transaction Support and Data Analytics & Decision Support. We understand the evolving role of the CFO and the Finance function, and work with our clients to automate and streamline reporting, control, and compliance functions, while simultaneously improving the value Finance delivers to the organization. Together with our substantial investments in technology, knowledge, and learning resources available to our advisory professionals, you will be part of the team that delivers fit for purpose financial optimization advisory services to our clients and their stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities
The Senior Functional Consultant will apply advanced process analysis skills, in-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, and an understanding of client requirements gathered using strong business, Supply Chain Management functional and technical consulting skills to design and implement proven solutions that address client business challenges. The incumbent must possess deep knowledge of multiple Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management solution areas, specifically in the areas of Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in implementing Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (or equivalent) and will be skilled at communicating and demonstrating the value of Dynamics solutions to our clients with the goal of delivering solution designs to deliver business value.
Skills and attributes for success
- Assist in identifying and creatively solving complex client problems, envisioning, and enabling critical processes, and fundamentally helping the client to achieve their objectives leveraging Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management capabilities.
- Act as a client discovery lead: learn the most important client challenges and needs and uncover those problems that are unspoken, and ultimately establish a proposed solution that will enable them to achieve their goals.
- Elicit, analyze, and validate business needs of key stakeholders by planning, facilitating, and documenting requirements’ gathering / discovery workshops.
- Provide expert overview & deep-dive product demonstrations and position the unique value of Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and related platforms to address client requirements.
- Utilize a deep knowledge of financial processes and best practices to advise and guide the client during pre-implementation consulting engagements such as Requirements Gathering, Fit Gap Assessments, Design and Configuration.
- Align with stakeholders to convert business requirements into capabilities, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate conceptual requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
- Identify and analyze risks and issues for the program or project portfolio in conjunction with project managers.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Commerce or equivalent
- Demonstrated expertise in D365 Supply Chain Management solution, or equivalent.
- Microsoft Dynamics D365 Certifications highly desirable including:
- Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate (MB-330 exam)
- 3-5 years Microsoft D365 Supply Chain Management (or equivalent) implementation experience demonstrating an ability to enhance and implement Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management for clients based on their business requirements across the full cycle of implementation.
- Extensive functional knowledge in Supply Chain Management modules such as Sales processes, Procurement processes, Warehouse management, Landed Cost, Transportation management, Asset management.
- Proven record of delivering business value by leveraging technology and an ability to communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level and be a trusted voice at the decision-making table.
- Understanding of emerging Microsoft technologies; Azure Cloud Platform, Power BI, PowerApps, Flow, Azure Data lake, DevOps, RSAT
- Working experience with Azure DevOps is highly desirable.
- Experience with Supply Chain Management process design and leading practices, including demonstrated experience in process documentation / process improvement within the Supply Chain Management function.
- Experience managing projects using Waterfall, Agile (Scrum) and hybrid methodology approaches.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation. Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences including internal and external stakeholders and peers clearly and concisely in written, oral and various presentation formats and situations
- Experience working with and supporting Microsoft ISV Solutions
- ITIL operational awareness and understanding.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or similar process optimization methodologies would be an asset.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an asset.
