The opportunity

At EY, our goal is to support client organizations as they initiate or undergo major transformation, providing technology-enabled programs that meet their unique challenges. We use a holistic approach where both system and technology, as well as people and change management are in focus. In your role, you will be the link between operations and IT and inspire our customers in how technology can improve their workday and enable them to fulfil their goals. We are looking for people who are passionate about helping the customer in their pursuit of new ways of working and adapting to new technologies.

As a Senior Consultant, you will be instrumental in shaping national and international SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, with a keen focus on enhancing the efficiency and digitization of procurement processes, particularly in direct purchasing.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, support, and execution of SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives, emphasizing the optimization, standardization, and digitization of procurement functions.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of clients' existing procurement processes, pinpoint weaknesses, and identify opportunities for process enhancements to develop customized digital solutions and strategies for effective sourcing and procurement.
  • Provide expert advice on the design, development, and deployment of business models within the SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba ecosystems, ensuring seamless configuration, customization, and integration to meet business needs.
  • Harmonize procurement solutions with interconnected workstreams such as Inventory & Warehouse Management, Quality Management, and Accounts Payable.
  • Depending on your expertise, assume a leadership role in sub-project management or consultancy within complex transformation projects, leveraging SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, and/or SAP EWM, and facilitate the change management process within client organizations.
  • Oversee the technical direction of solution delivery teams, identify and evolve best practices, tools, and innovative methodologies to continually enhance our consulting services and deliver optimal client solutions. Build and maintain robust client relationships, comprehend their requirements and expectations, and provide ongoing support and counsel to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Act as functional and technical subject matter expert for SAP transformation projects, specializing in at least two SAP S/4HANA modules such as Material Management and Warehouse & Inventory Management.
  • Contribute to the expansion of our service portfolio in Supply Chain Management, with a particular focus on S/4 HANA Cloud Solutions. Utilize your expertise to develop capabilities and provide technical support for bids in the sourcing and procurement domain.

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain/Procurement, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • 5+ years of overall professional experience in Consulting, SAP implementation and customization, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA procurement modules.
  • SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement, SAP Ariba Procurement, or Extended Warehouse Management with SAP S/4HANA is highly desired.
  • Experience in process analytics and modelling, with knowledge in process mining tools such as SAP Signavio or Celonis.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects on an international scale with diverse teams and drive transformation in sourcing and procurement.
  • Comprehensive experience in all project phases, including fit/gap analysis, design, implementation, testing, and rollout, preferably as a partial or full project manager.
  • Industry-specific know-how in sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, consumer products, and retail, along with an understanding of current industry challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in working cross-functional teams, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated history of process optimization.
  • Outstanding communication and client relationship management abilities, focused on technology advisory and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional language skills, especially in German is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Swiss business practices and cultural adaptability.
