The opportunity

We are now seeking for Senior Consultants to join our growing Global Trade Advisory team under Indirect Tax department in İzmir.

Join our globally integrated team of dedicated Indirect Tax – Global Trade (Customs and International Trade) professionals and you will combine technical knowledge, industry understanding and technologically advanced tools and methodologies to help clients identify customs duty risks and opportunities.

You will help us provide advises on compliance, risk management, effective processes and cost reduction to our international, multinational and local clients across all industry sectors by participating in advisory and auditing activities in relation to international transactions and trade involving indirect taxes, customs and duties. The work is technically challenging, creative and requires you to work closely with our clients’ businesses.

Your key responsibilities

  • Be part of a team assisting with the provision of international trade advice for a broad range of international, multinational and local clients across all industry sectors
  • Assist in preparing responses to client queries by undertaking customs, AEO technical research
  • Assist in preparing audit reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
  • Be prepared to travel to client sites (domestic and international) to work on customs audit and AEO projects
  • Develop own network, both internally amongst peers and colleagues and externally with client and industry contacts

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Management or other related fields
  • Preferably at least 2 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience can include being in a consulting firm and commercial environment, operating in supply chain, trade operations, etc.
  • Fluency in English – written and spoken
  • No restrictions for domestic and international travels
  • Interest in developing as a Global Trade professional

  • Strong analytical and research skills, and ability to use IT effectively (proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) a distinct advantage

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience of AEO application, annual report preparation and keen to develop further
