Internal Communications (Strategic Initiatives) – Senior Manager

Reports to: Director of Communications (Olive Stephens)

EY Ireland is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead our Internal Communications team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the oversight and execution of the communications around our new Markets strategy, ensuring alignment with our global strategy. This individual will also be responsible for crafting and disseminating strategic communications on behalf of our senior leadership, devising and implementing best in class internal comms campaigns as well as managing all internal communications related to our new Dublin Headquarters and those relating to other strategic high priority projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills and change management experience who has an ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy that supports EY Ireland's strategic objectives and enhances employee engagement.
    • Lead on the communication of our go to Market strategy to all EY Ireland people, ensuring clarity, alignment, and engagement across the organisation.
    • Coordinate the rollout of new global strategy, adapting it to the local context and ensuring seamless integration with existing EY Ireland ambition.
    • Design and oversee high-impact internal communications for senior leadership, including webcasts, videos, townhalls, emails, presentations, etc.
    • Oversee all internal communications related to the new EY Dublin Headquarters, ensuring that employees are informed, engaged, and excited about the move.
    • Act as the internal communications lead on strategic projects, working closely with project teams to develop messaging, communication plans, and engagement activities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and coherence in all internal messaging.
    • Measure the effectiveness of internal communications strategies and initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Manage and mentor IC Senior Associate, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Skills and attributes for success

    • Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience in strategic communications.
    • Deep understanding of change management principles and experience in managing communications for change initiatives.
    • Proven track record of developing and executing successful internal communications strategies in a complex, multinational organisation.
    • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a focus on delivering results
    • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong leadership and project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Fluency in innovative digital communications tools and platforms.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and stakeholders across various functions and geographies.
