The opportunity
As a Scrum master / IT project manager, you will work alongside a team of international experts in technology, business and the healthcare industry. Leading IT projects in an agile way allows the DHEC (Delivery Health Excellence Center) to overcome technical challenges while meeting client needs and is crucial for successful delivery of digital health solutions.
Your key responsibilities
As a Scrum master / IT project manager, you are responsible for leading our digital health IT projects and guiding Scrum teams by applying the agile process. Additionally, you will work together with near- and off-shore technical teams, vendors and external partners to ensure our tailored solutions for our healthcare clients are compliant with health regulations and standards. In your role, you will collaborate with clinical teams, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to prioritize and address health-specific IT requirements. As technical expert, you ensure the feasibility, scalability, security, and performance of IT solutions. You also identify requirements and strategies with the development team to follow. Additionally, you communicate requirements with other stakeholders like project managers, product owners, business analysts, developers and infrastructure or security architects, as well as provide training and support in business development.

- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills for both technical and business audiences.
- Proficiency in the local language of your country of residence is required.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a pre-requisite. Knowledge of additional languages will be appreciated.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work under tight timelines for multiple project deliveries in parallel.
- Ability/flexibility to travel.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, (Software) Engineering or other related field with strong IT focus. Master's or further certification are advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience as an IT project manager, preferably min. 1 year in a healthcare context and with particular focus on the oversight of agile development.
- Proven experience in applying agile values, principles and practices, ad well as leading Scrum teams.
- Deep understanding of (agile) project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines as well as the related frameworks, e.g. Scrum or SAFe
- A good understanding of software architecture (mobile and web), platforms, and development.
- Experience in applying project delivery and project management methodologies.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A reliable network in the healthcare industry and a consulting track record.
- A good overview of industry technology trends and emerging technologies, understand how they apply to our healthcare clients and can drive their adoption into our projects.
- Familiarity with regulations and standards relevant for healthcare, e.g. GDPR, clinical trials, SaMD.
- A solid understanding of health-specific interoperability formats, e.g. HL7/FHIR, SNOMED, OMOP, openEHR.
- A good knowledge of system integration in medical system landscapes between software products of various clinical domains, e.g. Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Clinical Information Systems (CIS), Clinical Data Repositories (CDR), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), communication servers and interoperability platforms.
