- Strong knowledge of AML regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and local AML laws.
- Experience with AML transaction monitoring systems, tools, and software.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the implementation and execution of AML compliance policies and procedures to mitigate the risk of money laundering and financial crimes. This individual will lead the day-to-day AML operations, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and collaborate with internal teams and external regulators to ensure the highest standards of financial crime prevention.

Key Responsibilities

- AML Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain AML policies, procedures, and controls in compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN, and local regulations).
- Risk Assessment: Conduct AML risk assessments to identify, analyze, and mitigate potential money laundering and terrorist financing risks in the company’s operations.
- Transaction Monitoring: Oversee the transaction monitoring systems to ensure that suspicious transactions are identified and investigated appropriately.
- Investigations and Reporting: Manage and lead the investigation of suspicious activity reports (SARs) and other financial crime incidents. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities.
-Training and Awareness: Lead the development and delivery of AML training for employees at all levels, ensuring that they are well-versed in identifying suspicious activity and understanding compliance requirements.
-Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization’s AML practices are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and external parties during examinations and audits.
- Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): Oversee customer onboarding processes, ensuring that appropriate CDD and EDD procedures are followed for high-risk clients and transactions.
- AML Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete records of AML investigations, SAR filings, and other compliance-related activities. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for audits.
-Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to ensure a coordinated approach to AML compliance across the organization.
-Continuous Improvement: Stay current on emerging trends and regulatory changes in the AML space. Recommend updates and improvements to the compliance program based on industry best practices and regulatory changes.

- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certification such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), ICA (International Compliance Association), or equivalent AML certification.
- Experience working with large financial institutions or multinational organizations.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and their implications for AML compliance.
