Technology & Innovation practice
Within the Consulting service line, our Technology & Innovation practice is at the cutting edge of innovation and transformation within the financial services industry. We leverage technology to solve complex business challenges, while helping our clients manage risk and improve their performance.
Our consultants work on the most relevant topics in the industry, such as: streamlining and digitalizing banking or insurance processes, implementing software packages for Core Banking, Risk Management or Insurance, developing solutions for real-time payments, optimizing regulatory reporting processes, and conducting IT and business assessments.
We are capable, passionate professionals who are excited about growing their careers by working on projects critical to the financial services sector, through roles such as Project Manager, Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Technical Lead, etc.
The opportunity
We are currently looking to reinforce our team with Technical Analysts who are ready to harness their technical expertise, knowledge of the financial industry and agile mindset to make a transformative impact on our client's businesses. We hire on senior consultant and manager level.
As a Technical Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping our consulting services within the financial sector. With at least 1 to 6 years of relevant experience and a background in financial services, you’ll be an invaluable part of the teams and projects that redefine what's possible in financial technology.
This role is ideal for a driven individual with an outspoken ambition to further grow their relevant technical expertise and leadership skills.
Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
- Analyzing the AS IS situation and have a clear understanding of the gap to the target architecture and business requirements, in terms of new integrations, API’s, mappings etc.
- Assisting in design: Developing diagrams, models, and design documents, often using tools like UML (Unified Modeling Language) or ArchiMate in order to document the TO BE solution
- Technology research: Conducting research on emerging technologies, architectural patterns, and best practices
- Building prototypes: Developing prototypes to test design concepts
- Documenting architecture: Contributing to creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation, including system architecture descriptions, design specifications, and implementation guides
- Collaborating with teams: Working with developers and technical / functional / business stakeholders to align on the architecture
- Analyzing requirements: Helping to gather, analyze, and validate functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders to ensure that the proposed solutions meet business objectives and user needs
- Continuous learning: Engaging in ongoing professional development in software architecture
Required qualifications
- Educational background: Hold a Master's degree in a relevant field (computer science, information system management, business or civil engineering, mathematics, applied economics, etc.)
- Professional experience: Demonstrate 1 to 6 years of professional experience in consulting and/or the banking / insurance sector, showcasing a track record as software engineer, technical analyst or junior architect
- Technical expertise:
- Understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle is needed, as well as experience with working in Agile teams
- Experience with working with or designing APIs, with a strong understanding of RESTful services and API management platforms
- Proven experience working in technical teams and projects, demonstrating the ability to thrive in high-performance cultures
- Foundation in cloud computing, service-oriented architecture, and microservices design
- Other skills:
- Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Outstanding client stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships through solid communication and presentation skills
- Strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams both technical and business
- Certifications such as Agile (Scrum, Product Owner) or Cloud practitioner (MS Azure, GCP or AWS) are a plus
- Language proficiency: Fluent in either or both Dutch and French, complemented with a profound knowledge of business English
