Your key responsibilities
- You will be a fundamental part of a multi-disciplinary team working closely with our clients alongside partners and directors.
- Delivering efficient and effective professional services.
- You will be a part of a team responsible for the day to day running of projects.
- You will work and liaise with other EY offices and services lines.
- You will have exposure to a variety of client needs including technical and operational complexities.
- Interacting with business leaders.
- Gain understanding of client/business issues, e.g. by using the firm's knowledge resources.
- Preparing accurate documentation for review and completing work allocated to you within agreed budget and deadlines.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Degree qualified.
- Experience of working within a financial services department in a professional services firm or have an appropriate technical background working within the Wealth and Asset Management industry, with a significant portion dedicated to fund accounting or financial reporting for Private Equity Funds.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial structures, strategies, and regulatory requirements specific to Private Equity Funds.
- Strong experience with capital account maintenance, including calls and distributions, carried interest calculations, and management fee analysis.
- Detailed knowledge of the relevant accounting standards impacting the sector.
- Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (US GAAP, UK GAAP or IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with fund managers and internal teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Minimum of 18 months' left on your valid Passport to facilitate Work Permit & Visa applications (where applicable)
