Your key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed income tax computations and tax return for partnership / corporate entities
- Prepare withholding tax returns and advise on day-to-day withholding tax issues
- Prepare quarterly GST returns in compliance with IRAS guidelines
- Attending to tax queries from internal departments and IRAS
- Maintain updated records of Tax Certificates
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with internal controls and policies; understand current systems’ capabilities and limitations, business processes, identify loopholes and opportunities for internal compliance, identify solutions for improvement and preventive measures
- Participate in ad-hoc projects under the Finance function
Skills and attributes for success
- Ability to work well in a dynamic environment, work independently, meet deadlines and have excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with complex information, meticulous and attention to details
- Effective planning and organizing skills to prioritize key areas of responsibility, tasks and projects
- Well-developed written and oral communications skills.
- Competent use of Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or professional certifications (ACCA and equivalent) as recognized by SCTP with at least 3-4 years of experience in taxation industry or similar role
- Possess strong knowledge in Singapore tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of applications (Excel, PowerApp), Data Analytics tools and SAP is essential.
