The Strategy and Transactions (SaT) team of EY Cyprus is looking to recruit a Valuation, Modelling and Economics (VME) Experienced Consultant to work with a high-performing, integrated team which focuses on transactions, providing advice in challenging and interesting projects. The Strategy and Transactions team guides clients to make better, more informed decisions as they buy, sell, separate, integrate, reshape, restructure or rethink their business strategy. We help our clients by providing advice on all aspects of transactions, from inception to execution and completion.

Being one of the fastest growing and reputable teams in Cyprus, we remain at the forefront of all major transactions in the island, covering numerous market sectors.

Our Valuation, Modelling, Economics team helps clients understand the value of their business, their securities, intellectual property, capital equipment, intangibles, and other assets. The team also provides financial and economic insights that are critical to strategic decision making.

Strategy and Transactions offers a wide variety of services. The key competencies include, among others, the below:

Key responsibilities of the role:

You will be responsible for participating and assisting in valuation and financial analyses and applying valuation theories and approaches, including:

• Researching, gathering and analyzing relevant information;

• Participating in the formulation of valuation approaches;

• Developing valuation and other business models;

• Assisting in the preparation of valuation reports for a variety of purposes such as financial reporting, transactions, tax, and litigation;

• Analyse and present complex financial information, including navigating financial models;

• Maintain communication with clients and also coordinate junior consultants.

To qualify for the role you must have:

• University degree in the field of Management, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics;

• 3-6 years of valuation and business modelling experience;

• Strong computer and financial modelling skills;

• Ability to synthesize client information and understand key business drivers;

• Ability to work under strict deadlines

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Effective written and verbal communication;

• Fluency in English.

Ideally, you will also have:

• Qualification or in an advanced process of becoming qualified ACA, ACCA, CFA;

• Experience in a similar transaction advisory environment / team

• Data analytics skills (through use of analytics tools and/or a programming language)

• Energetic, positive and team player;

• Flexible with a can-do attitude and a strong eye for detail.
