Job Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Cloud Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in public cloud platforms, specifically Azure and AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Windows and Linux environments, as well as expertise in automation tools and scripting. The Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions that meet our clients' business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, high-availability cloud solutions on Azure and AWS platforms.
• Migrate existing on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud.
• Manage and optimize cloud environments for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop automation scripts and utilize automation tools to streamline cloud operations and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to create CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cloud engineers.
• Conduct technical reviews and assessments of cloud architectures and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Document cloud architectures, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7 to 9 years of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, particularly Azure and AWS.
• Strong understanding of Wintel environments, including both Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, HTTP) and cloud security best practices.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
