Analyst, Risk Management
This is a role that requires incumbent to own & execute global processes related to personal Independence monitoring activities.
The opportunity
This opportunity will enable the professional to help the firm and its client serving professionals in making right decisions with respect to client & engagement acceptance, in sync with EY internal compliance policies and regulatory framework. This role will assist in evaluating the risks associated with each client & engagement and suggest ways to mitigate them. As an independence professional, this opportunity enables to drive projects for identifying & evaluations risks associates with firm’s audit clients, specifically maintaining firm’s independence with respect to audit clients and helping engagement teams in alleviating them.
The candidate should be comfortable working in an unstructured & complex environment requiring out of box thinking, logical reasoning, sound communication skills and ability to make quick decisions. The candidate should be able to continuously add value to assigned processes and develop solutions for situations that may not have been previously documented.
Your key responsibilities
Technical Expertise:
- Conduct Research: Use both systematic and intuitive methods for secondary research.
- Analyse Findings: Draw conclusions based on research results to meet requirements.
- Understand Risk Management: Know the firm’s and regulators’ risk management rules and policies.
- Use Analytical Tools: Apply analytical and project management methods and tools.
- Complete Tasks: Finish projects according to standard procedures, ensuring all tasks are accurate and appropriate.
- Facilitate Processes: Drive processes to completion by following up on requests from Onshore in a timely manner.
- Organize Work: Plan and organize your tasks, and keep project managers and key stakeholders updated.
- Self-Review: Review your results before submitting them to project managers.
- Flag Issues: Identify and report potential problems to project managers promptly for timely action.
Client Management/Stakeholder management
- Facilitate Client Introductions: Connect with account teams and clients to gather information directly and guide decision-making.
- Manage Client Expectations: Proactively set up a strong client management framework to meet client expectations.
- Build Expertise and Collaboration: Develop deep domain knowledge and foster strong relationships with stakeholders and business teams.

To qualify for the role, you must have,
- Education: Graduates or MBA/MCom (or equivalent post-graduate degree) from a recognized institute.
- Experience: 0-1 year in a research or analysis role.
- International Exposure: Preferred experience with international client interactions.
- Skills: Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written) in English.
- Technical Proficiency: Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
Technologies and Tools
- Basic knowledge of MS office suites like Microsoft 365, MS excel, PowerPoint.
