EY GDS – Data and Analytics (D&A) – Senior Consultant - Tableau Cloud Specialist

We’re looking for candidates with strong technology and data understanding in data engineering & Visualisation space, having proven delivery capability. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm as well as a part of a growing Data and Analytics team.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Data Visualization Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex data visualizations using Tableau and cloud-based data resources. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable insights through compelling visualizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Design and develop advanced Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and meet business requirements using Tableau cloud.
• Connect Tableau to various cloud data sources (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and optimize data models for performance and scalability.
• Ensure the security and compliance of data visualization solutions within a cloud environment.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to integrate Tableau with existing data pipelines and architectures.
• Mentor junior data visualization analysts and engineers in best practices for Tableau and cloud data resources.
• Stay current with the latest Tableau features and cloud data technologies to continually improve and expand analytics capabilities.
• Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of Tableau Server and related cloud resources.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Tableau dashboards, data definitions, and processes.
• Lead the design and implementation of data governance and quality standards for Tableau visualizations.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver custom reports and dashboards that drive decision-making.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to increase Tableau adoption and literacy within the organization.
• Strong understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in Tableau Cloud version 2024.2 preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3-8 years of experience in data visualization and business intelligence, with a strong focus on Tableau.
• Proficient in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker) is a plus.
• Tableau certification (Desktop Certified Professional, Server Certified Professional) is highly desirable.
