The opportunity

  • This position is for a social media data specialist within the EY Global Delivery Services.
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for analysing and visualizing complex data to create simple reports that can inform communications and marketing decisions and help create social media content with impact.
  • Expertise in social media performance metrics is a must have, with an excellent knowledge of the native social media platforms. The role also requires a facility with specialist social media listening, publishing and evaluation tools to provide insights from proactive and reactive monitoring across the digital landscape.
  • Sitting within the EY Global Social Media Team, the person in this role will be expected to deliver regular reports on EY performance, competitor output, trending topics and influencer activity.
  • In addition, they will be required to create specific deeper diver reports around industry issues as requested by stakeholders and provide monitoring and regular updates on crisis and issues pieces.
  • And they will be an integral part of a supportive, innovative and passionate team.

Your key responsibilities

  • · Creating regular social media evaluation and insight reports
  • · Building and maintaining evaluation and insight dashboards
  • · Optimizing the set up of social media tools - including automating reports
  • · Providing ad-hoc reporting across business areas and trending topics
  • · Analysing and organizing large amounts of information into clear, concise presentations.
  • · Standing up crisis and issues monitoring and hourly reporting where needed
  • · Contributing ideas on how to continuously improve our evidence-based, data-led social media approach
  • · Being part of a supportive, agile and proactive team

Skills and attributes for success

  • · Strong knowledge of social media performance metrics performance.
  • · Working knowledge of Boolean queries and how to create listening reports
  • · Ability to analyse complex data sets and turn them into clear and simple visualizations
  • · Willingness to interrogate and interpret data to provide real, tangible insights
  • · Team player keen to innovate, adopt tech advances and bring new ideas to the table
  • · Understanding of crisis management and associated processes
  • · Excellent communication and data visualisation skills

Technologies and Tools

· Experience with social media listening tools and management systems (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, etc.)

· Excellent MS Office skills (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • · Knowledge of social and digital media research & analytics
  • · Excellent business writing and communication skills
  • · Be willing to connect with the brand and other teams as part of the process
  • · Be eager and a fast learner who is willing to expand on core skills
  • · 6-9 years of experience in social media listening

Ideally, you’ll also have

· The ability to complete assigned work under the allotted timeline and should have the mindset to adhere to processes and policies.
