The opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing and Acquisitions Officer to lead our purchasing centralization and supplier consolidation efforts, ensuring the effective and efficient acquisition of goods and services for our organization. The successful candidate will oversee the entire purchasing and acquisition process, from identifying needs to negotiating contracts, and will be instrumental in centralizing relevant activities to achieve cost savings and streamline operations.

Your key responsibilities

• The candidate will be working closely with our Local Member Firm Leadership as well as with our Global Procurement Leadership to establish, develop and implement category and purchasing strategies aligned with our organizational goals as well as with our Global policies.
• Support procurement operations for multiple departments, ensuring timely acquisition and delivery of services and goods
• Ensure compliance with established procurement policy, process rules and regulations
• Understand and monitor our global, regional and local supplier footprint, types of contracts signed, supplier deliverables and obligations as defined in the contracts
• Consolidate and evaluate supplier base as well as centralize purchasing activities to optimize purchasing power and improve efficiency
• Conduct market research and benchmarking activities to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, to ensure competitive pricing
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
• Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Prepare and present procurement related reports to senior management and Global Procurement colleagues depending on spend and sensitivity and in adherence to our Global Policy.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
• Drive improvements in systems, management information and reporting

Skills and attributes for success

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a procurement function within a global organization or shared service center.
• Bachelor's degree
• Solid experience in contract negotiations and supplier management.
• Strategic thinking and decision making
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data interpretation
• Proficiency in English language skills, both written and spoken
