About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Developer to design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable database solutions. You will collaborate closely with software development teams to integrate databases seamlessly into applications, ensuring optimal performance, security, and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and optimize SQL databases to support business applications.
• Develop, implement, and fine-tune complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data effectively.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate database solutions into various applications.
• Ensure data security and integrity by performing regular backups, updates, and audits.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization to enhance system responsiveness.
• Generate, analyze, and present reports from SQL databases to support decision-making.
• Stay current with emerging database technologies, trends, and best practices to continually improve database environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in SQL programming and hands-on experience with database management systems.
• In-depth knowledge of data modeling, database design principles, and best practices.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load).
• Expertise in tools such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), Sybase IQ, and BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and deliver quality results within deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to evolving technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
• Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance standards.
