The opportunity
In a plan to strengthen and extend our footprint in EY Enterprise Technology Infrastructure & Operations, we are looking for a proven solid security background who can cover both Windows and Linux server’s platforms within our Global organization. This individual will work with cutting edge technology and implement products for our clients with a specific focus on security.
Your key responsibilities
The I&O Governance and Compliance Product Specialist provides strategy and engineering of complex nature for the firm's server environment and associated tools and operating systems. This professional applies knowledge of Windows and Linux server security and engineering practices as well as good scripting, hardware, and infrastructure experience to various platforms. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the enterprise infrastructure to implement massive changes into the environment driven by harmonization and security purposes.
This individual will be responsible for managing, maintaining strategy on the configuration and security of the Windows and Linux Servers across the globe.
Skills and attributes for success
- Proven track record of managing large scale Windows/Linux Server’s Systems and Administration experience of 15k+ servers.
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and GPO Management experience is a must (mandatory).
- Proven experience in the security area like Identity and Accounts Auditing, SOC 2 Audit and HIPAA/HiTrust Audits (fair knowledge).
- Experience in maintaining mission critical production systems running in a data centre environment (exclusionary).
- Ability to create technical documentation and procedures (exclusionary).
- Deep Scripting experience and automation on VBS, WMI, PowerShell, Ansible and Python (mandatory).
- Good knowledge of VMware ESX/ESXi servers. Virtualization in general (exclusionary).
- Good knowledge of MS Azure/AWS Cloud environment (desired).
- Knowledge of systems performance analysis and security tuning.
- Knowledge of E&Y tool sets (Service Now, SCCM, PowerBI, HP OpenView, SharePoint, Dell OME, Satellite, Ansible Tower and others).
- Strong working knowledge in DevOps, Agile, Kanban, SCRUM and ITIL Framework (Understanding).
- Ability to work and team effectively with clients, management, and all staff members.
To qualify for the role, you must have experience with
- Extensive knowledge of Administration in Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 with 6-7 years of experience.
- Red Hat Satellite 7/8 administration and Linux Systems Administration, Linux System Security with 6-7 years of experience.
- Script solutions for massive fixes and configuration changes.
- Package software and scripts to remediate security vulnerabilities and configuration changes.
- Plan and schedule requested deployments of multiple configurations (GPO Management).
- Plan and schedule requested deployments of firmware, drivers, and software (Hardware Management)
- Creation of configuration items and baselines with SCCM – Desired Configuration Management.
- Evaluate security risks and remediate vulnerabilities on Windows and Linux Servers.
- Design and create Group Policies (GPO).
- Maintain consistency of the Group Policies (GPO) on all forests and domains.
- Strong experience in account management for both Windows and Linux server’s operating systems
- Proven multi-year experience in managing Microsoft SCCM environment.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Microsoft MCSA / MCSE – Windows Servers certification.
- Linux Foundation Certified Engineer certification - LFCE
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification - RHCSA
- Red Hat Certified Engineer certification - RHCE
- ITIL v3/v4 Foundations certification (good to have).
- MS Azure Fundamentals certification.
- CISSP certification (desired).
