Role Summary

The Associate Director in Finance Consulting is responsible for offering industry-specific guidance and overseeing a team of consultants. Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Establish and maintain working relationships with Finance Directors and CFOs, primarily in the TMT sector, to understand business needs and provide tailored financial consulting.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with clients to develop and implement finance strategies that align with their business objectives and market conditions.
  • Finance Function Transformation:
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness of finance functions.
  • Enhance decision-making processes by optimizing budgeting and forecasting practices.
  • Guide finance teams through transitions by designing and monitoring change roadmaps.
    • Maintain knowledge of order to cash cycles and apply continuous improvement.
  • Finance Operations: Oversee finance operations to ensure robust processes, controls, and systems are in place.
  • Project Management: Manage consulting projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet timelines and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support the development of finance consultants within the team.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports and presentations detailing insights, recommendations, and action plans to Finance Directors and CFOs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Postgraduate degree or relevant professional designation (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong academic record, ideally with a postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in finance consulting, preferably with exposure to the TMT sector.
  • Technical expertise in finance function transformation, understanding of Lead to Cash cycles, analysis, and reporting; strong skills with MS tools.
  • Knowledge of TMT sector trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities; effective communication skills.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with problem-solving abilities and experience in optimising finance functions.
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering consulting services.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to recognize and pursue business opportunities.
