We are looking for a Consultant – Strategy & Execution with focus on Commercial Due Diligence & Strategy to join our Strategy and Transactions team. You’ll help clients drive their strategy agenda, assess strategic options and advise on commercial topics in M&A transactions. Your focus will be on two key areas:
- Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) – analyze the market, competitors, and business strategy to evaluate if the company has growth potential and is a good fit for potential investors.
- Strategy – focus on providing strategic insights and recommendations to clients to enhance value and drive business growth.
Your key responsibilities
As a Consultant, you will work closely with clients and your senior colleagues to assess client’s business strategy, and provide actionable recommendations. You will research companies, industries, customers, and competitors, as well as assist in targeting initiatives led by senior team members.
- Assist in conducting commercial due diligence for M&A transactions.
- Perform market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Collaborate with clients to define their strategic objectives and develop tailored recommendations.
- Develop financial models to evaluate strategic options and support your analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations that communicate findings and insights effectively.
- Support project management activities and contribute to the overall success of client engagements.
- Use EY’s internal AI-powered tools and data platforms to streamline analysis and improve accuracy.
Skills and attributes for success
- University degree or last year student in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related subject.
- Previous experience in strategy or finance field is a plus.
- Advanced understanding of financial statements and management reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Advanced at using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Fluent in Latvian and English.

Salary: 1600 – 1700 gross (depending on candidates’ experience)
