This role sits within the rapidly growing Products and Platforms practice at EY. Think of Products and Platforms as a start-up with backing of EY’s brand and depth. We are a product-led team building innovative AI-infused products and solutions, working on global teams and sharing our learnings across teams and sectors. The practice owns the product development lifecycle for a comprehensive suite of solutions that deliver unparalleled value and transformative outcomes to our clients. We’ve outpaced our competition with both our investments and solutions and we’re looking for a strong Product Manager to join our team.

The opportunity

We are looking to bring a dynamic technical product leader into the team. The “product” in this case is a combination of technologies, platforms and client outcomes that we hope to achieve. As a product leader, you will lead teams of engineers and solution architects to produce technology-led outcomes. You will be paired with a senior technical architect who will work in tandem with you to produce transformative results on behalf of our clients. You will lead a team that will bring the full force of artificial intelligence to change both how we deliver outcomes and the outcomes themselves. We’re not looking to make incremental improvements here, we are focused on 10x outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Product Manager you will lead by influence and competence, not (just) authority. You will marshal the resources and skills required and apply them ambitiously to the most demanding technical and business challenges. No two days will be the same in this role, you will drive a combination of activities including:

  • Product strategy definition and execution
  • Engineering execution (in close collaboration with a senior architect)
  • Gathering and prioritizing market and client feedback to iterate on priories
  • Resource allocation based on the changing needs of the business and market developments
  • Present and articulate the business and technology value proposition of our proposals to c-suite executives at our highest profile clients
  • Define requirements and strategies for our clients to best achieve their business goals with platform-driven AI technologies

Skills and attributes for success

Senior Product Managers possesses a rare blend of skills and capabilities and no two are alike. A variety of skills and backgrounds can be equally effective but there are some skills and attributes are essential including:

  • Extreme sense of personal ownership and accountability for results
  • Communicate exceptionally clearly and concisely
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to drive and build consensus across stakeholders with differing, often competing needs
  • Comfort in both high level executive business conversations as well as lower-level engineering execution decisions
  • Genuine curiosity in the latest developments in the AI landscape which change daily
  • Ability to prioritize and align resource investments with business needs
  • Ability to translate business requirements and customer demands into prioritized technology investments
  • Comfortable having hard conversations with clients and internal team members

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree); master's degree preferred
  • Experience typically preferred: no less than 5 - 7 years relevant experience
  • Experience leading teams to produce ambitious product, platform or client outcomes
  • Ideally have experience building products and platforms at leading technology companies and startups

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $168,400 to $384,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $202,000 to $437,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
