The opportunity
We are looking for a Transformation Architect with a strong background in designing and delivering complex transformation and value creation programs. As a Senior Manager in Transformation Architecture in our Private Equity sector, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our Strategy, Transactions, Value Creation and Consulting teams to help lead the orchestration of value creation strategies to realization. You will play a pivotal role in designing, architecting, and delivering large-scale transformation programs. You will apply sector-specific business drivers, market events, operating principles, and transformation trends, assembling expertise covering all enterprise functions to lead transformations that generate long-term client value.
Join our dynamic Business Performance team, specializing in Transformation Architecture and Delivery. As a Senior Manager in Transformation Architecture, you will play a pivotal role in designing, architecting, and delivering large-scale transformation of service delivery models and enterprise operations. You will apply sector-specific business drivers, market events, operating principles, and transformation trends, assembling expertise covering all enterprise functions to lead transformations that generate long-term client value. This role offers the unique opportunity to advise teams and client C-suite executives on their transformation strategies, helping them design and implement complex programs.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of complex processes, solutions, and/or projects, maintaining focus on quality and risk management while navigating operational and organizational dynamics. You will:
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Develop solutions to complex problems and recommend changes to policies that affect your work area and possibly the business function within your area/department.
- Be accountable for the budget, delivery, and performance of complex processes, solutions, and/or projects to achieve performance objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and orchestrate value creation strategies that align with investment and market differentiation goals of the PE Sponsor and it portfolio companies.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of business operations to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Help design and implement innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, profitability, and market competitiveness.
- Act as a key connector across EY and client teams to bring the best fit subject matter expertise to solve complex problems.
- Draft business cases to articulate the potential return on transformational programs and help position EY solutions with quantifiable outcomes.
- Facilitate the connectivity of cross-functional teams for end-to-end delivery of integrated solutions, inclusive of the latest emerging technologies
- Assist portfolio companies to monitor and evaluate the performance of transformation initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate to develop and drive go-to-market of EY’s value creation playbooks for PE integrated solutions
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in private equity to inform transformation strategies.
Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree); Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Typically, no less than 8-10 years relevant experience.
- No less than 6 years proven experience as a Transformation Architect or in a similar role, with demonstrated ability for Transformation Strategy and Design
- Consulting experience required
- Experience with M&A and companies experiencing high degree of change
- Strong understanding of private equity investment processes and value creation strategies.
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $150,400 to $343,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $180,500 to $390,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
