As a part of the Business Consulting – the Government & Public Sector team (GPS) is helping governments solve complex problems through purpose-led transformation. In Vietnam, our GPS team has worked with government agencies at all levels, state-owned enterprises, and international donors (e.g., ADB, World Bank, JICA, USAID).

We have provided policy advisory and transaction advisory services for infrastructure development in various sectors: transportation, energy, agriculture, healthcare, education, telecommunication, etc. across different topics: public private partnership investment (PPP), public investment, public procurement, public finance management. We also support fostering green economies via sustainability studies and impact assessment, green pathways, digital infrastructure solutions, circular value chains, net zero transition, carbon tax, credits & incentives advisory.

Your key responsibilities:

The Experienced Associate will be responsible to support the team in implementing consulting projects to government agencies and international donors, and supporting business development activities. Client project work typically includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating, and testing hypotheses and developing recommendations for presenting to clients.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Support the project teams in the day-to-day execution of a project
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis follow the analysis plan, assigned tasks and the guidance of senior team members.
  • Structure and develop work products and present findings/analysis within project team
  • Contribute to develop deliverables, presentations to clients
  • Support during interviews and consultation meetings with clients and other stakeholders
  • Support in facilitating workshops and study tours
  • Proactively communicate issues, constraints, challenges during project implementation with senior members of the team
  • Assist in proposal development and market pursue follow assigned tasks and the guidance of senior team members
  • Assist in project management and client engagement tasks and other administration tasks
  • Maintain a clean and structured workflow and project archive / record

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, law, finance, business, public policy, public administration or equivalent disciplines
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in consulting / advisory work or experience with a reputable organization and a strong record of personal success
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Power Point, Excel, Word)
  • Strong communication skills, fluency (writing and speaking) in both Vietnamese and English

Ideally, you will also have

  • Master of economics, law, finance, business administration, management, public policy, public administration, or equivalent discipline
  • Any relevant professional qualifications would be highly regarded
  • Prior experience in working for a top-tier consulting firm
  • Good knowledge, including but not limited to public policy advisory, public policy formulation and evaluation, institutional arrangement, project management
  • Experience in working in projects with public government agencies or international organizations (international development partners such as ADB, AFD, World Bank)
