Job Description: Workday HCM Solution Architect - Multiple Modules (Manager)
Summary
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Workday HCM Solution Architect to join our leadership team. This manager-level role will be responsible for the end-to-end architectural design, implementation, and optimization of our Workday HCM system across multiple modules. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Workday's functional capabilities, a strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to lead a team of technical and functional experts. This role requires a hands-on leader who can translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient Workday solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Solution Design: Lead the design and architecture of complex Workday HCM solutions across various modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence Management, and Payroll.
Implementation Leadership: Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of Workday implementations, from discovery and design to deployment and post-go-live support. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Team and Stakeholder Management: Lead and mentor a team of Workday analysts and consultants. Collaborate with senior stakeholders across HR, IT, and business units to understand strategic goals and ensure the Workday architecture aligns with business objectives.
Technical and Functional Expertise: Act as the primary subject matter expert for Workday's technical and functional capabilities. Develop complex integrations, reports, and dashboards using Workday Studio, EIBs, and Report Writer.
Governance and Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices for Workday system configuration, data integrity, and security. Conduct regular system audits and health checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HCM technology, with at least 5 years of dedicated experience with the Workday platform. Must have experience leading multiple large-scale Workday implementations.
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of multiple Workday modules: Core HCM is essential, plus at least three other modules such as Compensation, Benefits, Absence Management, Payroll, or Talent Management.
- Expertise in Workday's integration tools: Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs), and Core Connectors.
- Proficiency in Workday reporting tools: Custom Report Writer and calculated fields.
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and lead a project team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
