The CBS BMC IT team has an exciting role working in the Agile methodology to development and deliver a new system using new technology meeting the busines needs. The IT Project Manager will drive the AEM Search team. The team is currently being assembled and you will have the opportunity to learn the technology and take it to the next level for rollout around the globe.
The opportunity

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering IT projects to schedule, budget and quality. The role requires advanced technical knowledge of project management inter-related process stages i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management. Proficiency in related processes such as methods and tools and quality assurance is also required. Project manager must have excellent stakeholder relationship management skills to successfully lead and manage the project team and project stakeholders, and have expertise recognized and requested by customers.
Your key responsibilities
The Project Manager will need to have strong relationship skills to work close to the Product Owners and key stakeholders in building teams to deliver key business requirements. Applying business knowledge/understanding to management and meet the needs of stakeholders. The role should possess good product instinct and excellent project management skills to push project over the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution all working with the SCRUM Agile Framework.
The role requires Excellent organizations skills are required as a balance between new development, incidents, service request and QA defects are needed. The role is accountable, but not limited to, financials, building release planning along with a t-minus plan for deployments, service request and changes request, service transition activities, resource management, removing impediments, coordinating dependencies across the different workstreams, and other activities as designed Project Management.
This role must be able to work remote across different time zone with the ability to travel both National and International.
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience of managing IT projects with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost for large, complex projects typically from $100K up to $5m in value and 6 to 18 months in duration
- AEM knowledge
- Mastery of project management methodology, tools, and templates (includes project planning, schedule development, scope management and cost management)
- Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
- Not mandatory but desirable - experience of delivery that includes the use of supplier and off-shore resources
- IT background with experience across the systems development life cycle with experience in all project phases – plan, initiate, elaborate, design, build, test, implement.
- Knowledge and use of industry-standard project methods, tools and techniques e.g. RAIDS, budget, communication
- Strong team working skills across matrixed client, supplier and geographically dispersed virtual teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (include negotiation)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
- Skilled in the use of IT SAFe Agile methodologies, processes, and standards for project management
To qualify for the role you must have
- A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years in a corporate IT environment
- 3+ years’ experience in project management
- Other relevant experience in a related technical field (application development, deployment/implementation and infrastructure)
- Work experience in a professional services industry
Ideally, you’ll also have
- SAFe Agile Certified would be an advantage.
- Project management certification is preferred (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2)
- Familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3 would be advantageous
