Job Summary:
The Manager in Financial Services Risk Consulting will lead projects focused on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks for clients in the financial services sector. This role requires a deep understanding of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Manager will work closely with clients to develop tailored solutions that enhance their risk management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee and manage risk consulting projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including operational, credit, market, and regulatory risks, to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique risk profiles and business objectives to provide tailored consulting services.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry trends, advising clients on compliance requirements and best practices in risk management.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop junior consultants, providing guidance on project execution, client interactions, and professional growth.
- Reporting and Presentation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and senior management, clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and action plans.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including audit, compliance, and IT, to ensure a holistic approach to risk management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in risk consulting, risk management, or a related field within the financial services industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, tools, and methodologies; proficiency in data analysis and risk assessment software.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, or Solvency II.
- Familiarity with emerging risks, including cybersecurity and operational resilience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
