EY’s Forensic & Integrity Services team helps organizations detect, investigate, and prevent financial crime, fraud, and misconduct. We work closely with legal counsel, compliance, and audit teams to address complex issues such as fraud, bribery, corruption, and regulatory breaches. Our mission is to safeguard integrity and build trust in business.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Consultant with a strong finance background, an experienced auditor who is passionate about forensic investigations. You will join a multidisciplinary team that handles high-profile investigations, fraud risk assessments, and compliance reviews across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support forensic investigations into allegations of fraud, bribery, corruption, and other financial irregularities.
- Analyze financial statements, accounting records, and transactional data to identify anomalies and suspicious patterns.
- Collaborate with audit teams to provide forensic insights during assurance engagements.
- Conduct interviews and gather evidence to build robust investigative findings.
- Prepare detailed forensic reports suitable for legal and regulatory proceedings.
- Assist clients in strengthening anti-fraud, anti-bribery, and compliance frameworks.
- Apply forensic data analytics and technology tools to enhance investigations.
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and emerging financial crime trends.
- Contribute to business development through proposals and client presentations.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Strong analytical and investigative mindset with attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, audit methodologies, and fraud risk indicators.
- Excellent communication skills (Portuguese and English), both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in complex situations.
- Commercial acumen and interest in contributing to practice growth.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in external audit, internal audit, or forensic investigations.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFE are a plus.
- Experience in consulting or Big Four environment is highly valued.
