Your key responsibilities
Everything you do will lead to providing definitive auditing services that the capital markets and the client can rely upon. You will analyze financial statements, annual reports and annual general meetings for our clients to ensure that there are no breach of auditing standards. You will help our clients respond better to reporting and auditing issues within their businesses.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute audits from start to finish, ensuring compliance with EY’s Global Audit Methodology and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Lead fieldwork at client sites, coordinating with other departments for smooth delivery.
- Review work prepared by audit staff and sign off before submission to Engagement Partner.
- Identify and assess audit risks, ensuring independence and professional skepticism.
- Implement quality controls and embrace feedback from internal/external inspections to improve audit execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving client processes and controls.
- Organize and manage audit teams, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
- Coach and mentor junior staff, provide on-the-job training, and contribute to performance reviews.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IFRS, Local GAAP, and other frameworks (e.g., US GAAP, or PCAOB ).
- Manage engagement economics, timelines, and deliverables.
- Identify operational efficiencies and adopt new audit enablers and digital solutions.
- Support partners in generating new business opportunities and expanding client networks
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Full CA Zambia, ACCA and CIMA or equivalent recognized accounting qualification
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Typically, 5–7 years in external audit within a professional services firm.
- Proven track record in leading, planning, and executing audits across diverse industries.
- All academic qualifications must be ZAQA certified.
